Blake Ward, Sculptor, Art Activist.
** See ReThink Collection in NYC Opening October 30, 2009 at the DLC Fine Art Gallery, 606 West 26th Street, New York, NY **
The sculptures in Ward's "Re-Think" exhibition explore the relationship between the arts and human frailty.
The Fragments series exhibits regularly in galleries throughout the world. A collection of 19 one-quarter life-size bronzes, the exhibition’s broken bodies tell of the tragedy of war, but also man’s enduring instinct for survival. The objective of the Fragments campaign is to raise public awareness of the social problems caused by landmines. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the limited edition sculptures are donated to Adopt-a-Minefield.
