Libby Schmais, Novelist.
Libby Schmais' first novel for teens, The Pillow Book of Lotus Lowenstein, is the diary of a quirky Brooklynite who dreams of living in Paris as an existentialist.  The book was recently acquired by Delacorte Press, an imprint of Random House, and is scheduled to be published in December 2009.  Schmais is the author of the adult novels "A Perfect Elizabeth" and "The Essential Charlotte", both published by St. Martin's Press.
