Are you thinking about getting into independent production and distribution of your own music and/or that of other artists?  What is the appropriate business entity for your record label?  What kind of agreements need to be in place between you and and your partner(s) in the business venture?  What sort of deal should you strike with outside artists and producers who write for and/or perform on your records?  What are the pros and cons of self-distribution v. collaborating with major distributors, and what legal documents need to be in place with outside producers and distributors that you may use?
