Libby Schmais' first novel for teens, The Pillow Book of Lotus Lowenstein, is the diary of a quirky Brooklynite who dreams of living in Paris as an existentialist. The book was published by Random House in 2009. Schmais is the author of the adult novels A Perfect Elizabeth and The Essential Charlotte, both published by St. Martin's Press.

Schmais' most recent teen fiction novel, Tudor Rules: How Anne Boleyn Helped Me Survive High School, published by McPherson Press, has been released as a digital only independent publication, available for download exclusively on Amazon Kindle.
