Tina Charles - WNBA Star, Philanthropist.

Center for the Connecticut Suns, Charles won the gold medal for the US Women's Basketball team at the London Olympics in 2012.  As well as basketball, Charles' other passion is helping others and giving back, grateful as she is for her unique talent and the commercial success and celebrity it has bestowed upon her.  In 2012 she funded the building of a school in Africa.  In 2013, Charles founded the Hopey's Heart Foundation, a non-profit organization whose mission is to put a defibrillator in public schools across the United States.

Tina Charles' father, Rawlston Charles, is the founder and proprietor of the legendary Brooklyn based record store, Charlie's Calypso City, and also the record label, Charlie's Records, which is the subject of a documentary film in development by Tina Charles' new film production company.
