JOHN CANEMAKER - Oscar-Winning Animator

John Canemaker, Animator.

Winner of Academy Award for Best Animated Short (2006), The Moon and the Son: An Imagined Conversation, Canemaker is a professor and Director of Animation at NYU Tisch School of the Arts and winner of the 2007 Annie Awards Winsor McCay award for his contribution to the art of animation. Canemaker frequently collaborates with Peggy Stern, whose compelling documentaries have focused on fine artists and social and educational issues. The team's projects include Chuck Jones: Memories of Childhood.
